Distinguishing features of Zaawiya

Indigenous Languages: At Zaawiya Trust School, we foster a deep respect and love for Pakistan’s indigenous languages, including Punjabi, Sindhi, Saraiki, Balochi, Pashto, and Balti. Through poetry and folk literature, students engage with their linguistic heritage, preserving its richness while developing a profound connection to their cultural roots.

Arabic and Persian: We provide instruction in the classical languages of Islamic civilization—Arabic and Persian—in a way that equips our students with the foundational skills needed to engage with classical texts in their original form, fostering a deeper understanding of their intellectual and cultural heritage.

Calligraphy: At Zaawiya Trust School, children practice calligraphy to develop an appreciation for the aesthetics of the written word while cultivating patience, precision, and artistic expression.

Astronomy: At Zaawiya Trust School, we introduce children to astronomy to inspire a sense of wonder about the vastness of the cosmos and deepen their appreciation for its creator.

Storytelling: Weekly storytelling sessions are an integral part of our learning environment at Zaawiya Trust School. Our signature stories include Hikayat-e-Rumi and Gulistan-e-Saadi, enriching young minds with timeless wisdom, moral lessons, and the beauty of classical literature.

Urdu Poetry: Poetry is at the heart of Zaawiya Trust School’s learning program. Our students not only study but also develop a deep appreciation for the beauty of words, rhythm, and meaning—particularly through the works of Iqbal, Hali, Sufi Ghulam Mustafa Tabassum, and Ismail Meeruthi. Their passion for poetry shines in Bait Bazi competitions, where they have participated and won numerous accolades.

Mathematics: At Zaawiya Trust School, mathematics is taught in a way that nurtures a deep appreciation for the logic and elegance behind mathematical concepts and structures, fostering analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Classical Tradition of Islamic Civilization: At Zaawiya Trust School, children are introduced to the inspiring lives and profound ideas of luminaries such as Al-Ghazali, Rumi, Saadi, and Al-Biruni, fostering a connection with the rich intellectual and spiritual heritage of Islamic civilization.
